Japanese Cuisine has always been of curiosity to me especially their sushis. I always kept wondering how one can have raw fish. So one evening when we decided to go to Haiku - I decided to quench my curiosity once and for all. This place is decorated really well. While climbing up you will come across a decor that has plates for all the zodiac signs. Once you are seated inside, the cutlery is very simple and blends really well with the place.
The lights on top are also pretty and adds to the ambiance of the place.
We started off with the Ame Shiitake Maki - this Veg Sushi was made of marinated mushroom rolls.
We then tried the Volcano Roll. This Non Veg Sushi was made with Salmon that was marinated in Chef's special sauce. We had wasabi and pickled ginger alongwith this. I must say the Sushi was absolutely delicious with flavors coming together and bursting with every bite.
We then tried the Yaki Udon which is Japanese thick noodles with vegetables. The quantity was enough for two people. This was prepared in soya sauce.
Then we had the Lemongrass Chilli Chicken. I generally love Lemongrass and hence ordered this dish. Although the Chilli Chicken was absolutely spot on, the lemongrass flavor was very mild.
Finally we ordered the Yaski Soba which is Soba noodles, sauces and vegetables. This dish was mild but had an amazing flavor. It was simple and tasty.
Overall: This is a must visit if you are a fan or want to try Japanese Cuisine. Their Sushis are absolutely amazing.
