Ten J Dining - Jubilee Hills

Ten J Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato
Ten J Dining is located at Road No. 10, Jubilee Hills. The Dining area is on the first floor whereas the roof top has the Bar Exchange which is more popular for drinks. So we visited Ten J on a Sunday evening. They have both the buffet as well as the a-la-carte menu and I am going to talk about both.
There was a quote while I was climbing up that caught my attention and I couldn't help but relate to it. This is just so me.
Their dinner buffet with 2 mugs of beer comes at Rs. 499 + taxes which is pretty decent. In this they have a corn and cucumber starter.
The next starter had a crispy fried potato where the insides were scooped out and replaced with hummus. This was then garnished with coriander leaves.
The third starter was the Chicken Roulade which had a variety of different chicken salami.
There was also a plate of hummus that was garnished with olives, chick peas and cucumber; and could be enjoyed with a variety of different bread.
They also had crispy fried papad which is a popular south Indian accompaniment that is enjoyed with meals.
Paneer Butter Masala was also a part of the buffet and this looked perfectly done with a layer of cream garnish.
The Dal Tadka was thick and tasty as well with the perfect Ghee Tadka.
They also had Sambar Vada where small sized vadas were dipped in sambar. They also had the Vada with Chicken Pulusu as the non vegetarian option.
Dahi Vada was a chaat item that was present as part of the buffet menu.
Among the desserts they had beautifully prepared strawberry pastry.
They also had mango pudding which was absolutely delicious. This is definitely a must try.
Now let us move on to the a-la-care menu. We started off with the Burmese soup that came with ready to mix ingredients - egg whites, shredded chicken and coriander leaves.
We then ordered the strawberry colada which was a mocktail.
The next dish was the chicken kebab which was coated on the outside with egg whites. This was really soft and melted in our mouth.
We then had the Shikampuri Veg kebab which is a royal Hyderabadi kebab.
Next up was Roti me boti where tiny round pieces of Rumali roti were garnished with mint sauce and topped with a piece of tenderly cooked mutton.
The next dish was the Mamsam Vepudu which translated to Mutton Fry in English. The mutton again was very tender and not too spicy.
We then ordered a cocktail called Monster. This has Chilly Vodka, strawberry puree and lime charcoal.
After that we had cheese se bhara Khumb. This had mushrooms stuffed with spices and cheese, cooked in a tandoor.
The next item that we had were stuffed potatoes.
We then tried Appam with chicken stew.
We then ordered Seasonal Bird. This had Gin, Blue CuraƧao with lime.
The final dish in the main course was the Minister Biryani.
For desserts we started off with the mango pudding which was much better garnished that the ones we had for buffet.
The next one up was the lemon cheesecake which was really good.
The final dessert was the blueberry cheesecake which we absolutely loved.
Overall: This place has an amazing spread of food for both buffet as well as a-la-carte. This is a must visit.

Fat Pigeon - Bar Hop in Jubilee Hills

Fat Pigeon - Bar Hop Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato
Fat Pigeon which is located in Jubilee Hills has an amazing roof top ambiance. You can also choose to be at the var and watch your favorite match along with drinks and food. This place also has valet parking but if you have a two wheeler then you will have to park on the main road. They also have a lot of games that you can play and have fun while chilling with your friends.
A must try here is the cheesy onion rings. They are crispy on the outside and cheese oozes out once you take a bite.
The Chicken tikka is well made and is one of the best starters to order while having a drink.
The Classic Margherita, true to its name has perfect balance of tomatoes with wholesome amount of cheese on a thin crust.
The Prawn Bhuna Masala is mildly spiced and made with fresh prawns whose flavor is mouth watering.
In the main course, the paneer butter masala is done well and a must have.
Among the non vegetarian main courses, you can try the Kadai Murg. This is slightly spicy and made with capsicum and onions.
Overall: A fun place to hang out and play games while enjoying good food and drinks.

New Place Alert - Glocal in Kondapur

Glocal Junction Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato
Glocal was one of the popular eat outs in Jubilee Hills but it closed out and reopened in Kondapur. They officially launched on 21st November and we decided to visit the place.
We started off by ordering the Tokri Chaat. This was really good and was topped with Pomegranate and Alu Bhujia.
After that we had the Hell's Pizza which was thin crust and had toppings of capsicum, tomato and chicken.
The Chilly Paneer was served in an edible bowl but this really wasn't good in taste or flavor.
The first cocktail that we tried out was the Basil and Watermelon Smash - the base was vodka with fresh watermelon juice and basil with a twist of black pepper.
The next dish was the Buffalo Chicken Wings which was garnished with garlic and served with bread.
The Chilly Chicken Pizza was really great. It was a thin crust pizza, and the fusion of Chinese and Italian went along really well.
The next cocktail was Keep Me Warm - this was a spiced Indian drink with brandy and apple served warm.
The Gongura Kodi Risotto was another creative fusion dish although the flavors did not go well and it felt like the dish was over cooked.
The Grilled Barbecue Veggies went well with the noodles that were served along with it.
Our next drink was the Infused jar which had apple cinnamon cherry infused vodka and apple juice.
The next drink was the Black Magic which was presented really well with a skull shaped jar. This consisted of whisky, bitters and smoky orange marmalade.
Among the mocktails, the Oreo shake was really good.
They also had a cocktail called the Thaili which was served literally in a Thaili - this was a vodka based cocktail.
The pineapple, jalapeno salsa was a cocktail with chunks of pineapple and jalapeno mixed with quite a lot of crushed ice.
The Coorg Style Chicken Dry Fry was similar to that of the Chennai Chicken 65.
The dynamite chicken had a mix of herbs with a succulent center.
Overall: Great place to hang out on weekends with great food.
